Health Disclaimer

Effective October 13, 2026

Rec Time helps you move more and eat better on the road. It is not a doctor, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Talk to your doctor first

Check with a doctor before you start a new workout program or change how you eat, especially if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, joint or back problems, are pregnant, take medication, or have not exercised in a while.

Stop if something is wrong

Stop right away and get help if you feel chest pain or pressure, trouble breathing, dizziness, fainting, or sharp pain. Call 911 in an emergency.

Never while driving

Do not use Rec Time, scan food, read messages or exercise while the truck is moving. Train only when you are parked somewhere safe, with the brake set.

Know your space

Cab, parking-lot and hotel-room workouts depend on your surroundings. Make sure the space is clear, the surface is stable, and you are visible to traffic in a lot. Use equipment as it was made to be used.

Food scores are estimates

Scores and nutrition numbers come from published labels, restaurant guides, USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Menus and recipes change. Check the label or ask the restaurant, and never rely on Rec Time for allergies or medical diets.

Not a DOT medical decision

Rec Time has nothing to do with your DOT medical card. Only a certified medical examiner can decide whether you are qualified to drive.

Health statistics

Driver health figures on Rec Time come from the sources named next to them, such as NIOSH and FMCSA studies, and describe groups of drivers at the time of the study, not you.
